User research
What we do
User research helps us learn about users and how to meet their needs.
Designing public services starts with understanding people’s needs, motivations, and behaviors. User researchers plan activities that involve users, such as interviews or usability tests. Insights from research help define which problems to solve, why, and how to solve them.
“Good research is about asking more and better questions, and thinking critically about the answers.”
— Erika Hall, Just Enough Research
Our approach
User researchers at Blue Tiger are fierce advocates for the people who use the products and services we build. We work closely with designers, product owners, developers, and subject matter experts to better understand the key questions we need to answer. Through planning iterative research with diverse users, we answer critical questions and deliver actionable recommendations to improve a product or service.
Why it matters
Insights from user research help teams make informed decisions at every step in the process. Without user research, there’s a higher risk of building the wrong thing and failing to solve the problem. When we know what motivates users and where they face difficulties, we’re able to design services that meet their needs.
